FIFA U20 Womens World Cup : We are ready to compete at higher levels : Brazil Coach Bueno

After the devastating experiences from 2014 FIFA World Cup, Brazil girls are entering FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup saying that they can never be overlooked among favorites Americans and the Germans.  Brazilian head coach Doriva Bueno says that "we have a young team with lots of  talent and We have players who have been doing a good job moving up to the different levels of the game. Our girls understand what we need to do in Canada.”

Although Brazil have never won Women’s U-20 World Cup, they are coming as  six-times South American champions. Brazil is in the toughest group in the tournament where opponents are Germany,  United States and China. Brazil will open the tournament against China after Canada plays with Ghana.

“We don’t think China as an easy first game, it is important as other games against Germany and the United States. We have to work hard and focused, China will defend as well attack"  Bueno says.

“In any tounament, The first game is always important regardless of who we play with. If we win it will create a good chance to win other games, but we also can easily win the first game and then lose the next two games,” Bueno has said.  “We have to stay calm throughout the tournament and try to improve as the tournament progress", Bueno futher says.

In Brazil soccer is a religion, the women’s game is just now starting to gather momentum and expectations on female players is starting to grow. We are ready to compete at higher levels”
